For years, I believed the answer was to work harder. I exercised more, ate less, counted calories and kept telling myself i just needed more discipline. But the harder i pushed, the more exhausted , inflamed,and discouraged i became. The weight continued to increase. The panic attacks,brain fog,fatigue and frustration became part of my everyday life. I wasn't looking for perfection, I was looking for relief. At that time , i felt likemy body was betraying me. Looking back, i realized it was just asking to support.
Over time, I finally began to understand why. I was living with Hypothyroidism, later diagnosed with PCoS (now know as PMOS) then later Hashimoto. Suddenly, so many of my symptoms I'd been fighting for years started to make sense ,but at the time i still didn't know how to support my body in a way that actually worked.
My journey taught me something much bigger. My "Why" was never about losing weight, it was about getting my life back. I wanted more energy so i can be present with my family.I wanted relief from fatigue, panic attacks, inflammation, brain fog that had become my normal. The scale wasn't telling the whole story. When i stopped measuring my progress by a number and started paying attention to how i actually felt, everything began to change.My approach to wellness changed because of my "why"
In 2020, something shifted inside of me. I reached a point where i knew i couldn't keep living the way i had been. A friend introduced me to a health program, built around simple habits,balanced nutrition,and caring for myself instead of punishing it. For the first time in years, I felt hopeful. The inflammation began to decrease, panic attacks became less frequent, and i started feeling like myself again,
That experience changed more than my health, it changed my purpose. I became a Health coach because i wanted other women to know they aren't alone. Healing isn't about perfection. It's about having the right support,structure and someone to walk alongside you.
As I continued my journey, I realized protein wasn't just another nutrient, it was one of the missing pieces i had overlooked for years. When i transitioned off the program, I wanted to keep supporting my body the same way. That's when i started paying closer attention to my protein intake and looking for a protein powder i could enjoy everyday. That's when i realized finding the right one wasn't as simple as i expected.
I tried protein powder after protein powder. hoping to find one that fit my lifestyle.Many were Chalky, upset my stomach, or didn't provide the complete protein and digestive support i was looking for. those became my non negotiables. I knew that i needed something i could actually enjoy everyday because consistency matters more than perfection.If i didn't enjoy it i wasn't going to stick with it. That's what inspired me to create Protein Parlor. I wanted a protein powder for women like me, one that tasted great, supports digestion with digestive enzymes,provides complete protein and make nourishing your body feel simple instead of stressful.
This isn’t just about protein for me;
It's about helping women reconnect with their bodies instead of constantly fighting against them.
I know what it's like to feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and like no matter how hard you try, nothing seems to work. I know what it feels like to wonder if this is just how life is going to be.
That's why i became a Health Coach.Someone believed in me when i needed it most, and that experience changed the course of my life.Today, i hope to be that same sources of encouragement and support for other women as they learn to support their bodies with confidence and compassion.
Whether it's through one on once coaching through my program, Protein Parlor or simply sharing what i've learned along the way, my hope is the same: to help women stop fighting their bodies and start supporting them,one healthy habit at a time.
